Climate Change Resource Center receives EarthShare New Jersey 2026 Environmental Education Award

NJCCRC – The New Jersey Climate Change Resource Center at Rutgers University has been honored with the 2026 Environmental Education Award from EarthShare New Jersey in recognition of its outstanding contributions to climate education and public engagement across the state. The award was presented at the EarthShare Celebrates New Jersey event on June 12.

The award recognizes the Climate Change Resource Center’s leadership in providing actionable research, data, and user-friendly tools that advance the efforts of the public, private, and NGO sectors to mitigate and adapt to climate change in New Jersey and prepare for a more resilient future.

“This award reflects the dedication of our researchers, staff, and partners who work every day to make climate science accessible for communities across New Jersey,“ said Lucas Marxen, Co-Director of the Climate Change Resource Center.

“We are honored by EarthShare NJ’s recognition and thank them and their partners as we all collectively work to address climate change in New Jersey,” added Marjorie Kaplan, Co-Director of the Climate Change Resource Center.

The Environmental Education Award celebrates organizations and individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to advancing environmental literacy and inspiring stewardship through education.
