Will Land Management Help Meet Climate Goals?
Forests, farms and wetlands can make a big contribution to curbing emissions, New Jersey says
JON HURDLE / NJ SPOTLIGHT NEWS – The Murphy administration now wants to use land management tools to capture carbon as part of its wide-ranging efforts to cut climate-altering greenhouse-gas emissions.
The state will look for ways to improve the use of natural and working lands so that they store or “sequester” carbon that would otherwise escape into the atmosphere.
