FALL CLIMATE ACADEMY: Protecting Historic Residences from Flooding – Building Elevations
Join Kate Marcopul, Administrator, NJ State Historic Preservation Office, and Dominique Hawkins, Principal, Preservation Design Partnership, in this third of a series on climate change and historic preservation for New Jersey. In this session, Ms. Marcopul and Ms. Hawkins will address elevating residential buildings within a historic context while maintaining architectural integrity.
This session will review the regulatory basics for historic preservation and climate adaptation and design challenges and best practices that should be considered by owners, architects, and historical commissions.
